HSA Contribution and Spending Account Claim Deadline Extensions
The IRS has extended the Health Savings Account (HSA) contribution deadline and the spending account claim deadline for individuals affected by federally declared disasters. These extensions allow eligible account holders to:
- Contribute funds to their HSA beyond the 2024 tax filing deadline.
- Submit claims for 2024 expenses after the original March 31, 2025, deadline.
A full list of qualifying disasters and extended deadlines can be found on the IRS disaster relief website at IRS.gov.
